Extended Scope of the Saudi IECEE Recognition Certificate

The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has extended the scope of the Saudi IECEE Recognition Certificate (SIRC) for electrotechnical products to include additional products. As of 1st July 2021, a National Certificate of Recognition of Electrical Devices & Components (IECEE) will be an essential condition to release those products from customs ports.

In the scope of Saudi IECEE Recognition Certificate are the following product categories:

• Laptop & Tablets incl. Chargers
• Smart Watches & Smart Bands
• TVs & Displaying Units
• Wireless Headphones
• Dishwashers, Coffee Makers, Kettles & Electrical Oil fryers
• PV Modules
• Inverters
• DC Cables & Power Cables
• Video Games & Accessories
• Electronic Cigarette
• Luminaire Units and Accessories
• Car Mobile Chargers
