New IEC 60601-2-46 and IEC 60061-2-57 standards added to the SIQ IECEE CB scope

In January 2022, SIQ successfully expanded its CB scope under the IECEE scheme to include two particular standards, i.e.,  IEC 60601-2-46 (Particular requirements for the basic safety and essential performance of operating tables) and IEC 60061-2-57 (Particular requirements for the basic safety and essential performance of non-laser light source equipment intended for therapeutic, diagnostic, monitoring and cosmetic/aesthetic use).

Since 26 January 2022, SIQ can perform tests and issue CB test reports according to the above-mentioned standards. IEC 60601-2-46 standard for operating tables focuses mainly on mechanical testing. The major focus of IEC 60601-2-57 standard for non-laser light source equipment is on the protection against non-laser radiation.
