Singapore: AC adapters with output exceeding 100W must comply with IEC 62368-1

On September 7, 2023, the Consumer Product Safety Office (CPSO) published Circular
CPSO-070923-11, which introduces an additional requirement for AC adapters with output exceeding 100W to comply with IEC 62368-1 standard.

AC adapters that can only deliver below 100W to connected equipment are not affected by this requirement.

What should suppliers do?

Registered suppliers of AC adapters with output exceeding 100W should review the Circular
CPSO-070923-11 to ensure that their products comply with the new requirement. If they can provide assurance that their products comply with IEC 62368-1 standard, they can apply to CAB for COC application/renewal.
