About the Standard
The ISO 9001 standard is built on the quality management principles used by today’s world’s most successful organisations, both manufacturing and service. The standard is therefore a summary of good business practice and, as such, is helpful to organisations that want to follow only the best. The requirements of the standard focus primarily on the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality management system in meeting customer requirements, without neglecting the stakeholders who can influence the management system.
Suitability of Use
It is designed for all types of organisations, regardless of size, organisation, product or service, that want to manage and improve their business and increase customer satisfaction. The standard is also an excellent basis for upgrading to other management systems defined by standards such as ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018.

The standard specifies the requirements for a quality management system; their application in practice enables organisations to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services in accordance with set requirements and to improve customer satisfaction, thus providing the basis for more successful business operations.
Organisations that apply the requirements of the standard in their daily work can, after successfully completing the certification process, obtain a certificate for quality management systems in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
