In the beginning of November 2006, SIQ obtained the status of a notified body for electricity meters (for active power) – Chapter MI-003, i.e., according to module H1. The obtained status is mainly the result of experiences and obtained accreditations in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 and ISO/IEC 17065:2012. We can proud that we were already one of the few accredited notified bodies in EU for inspections of the design of electricity meters. During this time, we also expanded the scope of our services to B+D modules by obtaining accreditation according to the standards ISO/IEC 17025:2015, ISO/IEC 17065:2012 and ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015. Therefore, the transition to the new Directive on Measuring Instruments 2014/32/EU, which was introduced into the Slovenian legal order with the Rules on Measuring Instruments (OJ RS No. 19/2016), progressed smoothly.
